Athletics & Clubs

At Black Mountain Elementary School, we believe in nurturing the diverse talents and interests of our students both inside and outside the classroom. In addition to our enriching specials classes—Art, Music, PE, Drama, and Dance—our students have the opportunity to explore a plethora of extracurricular clubs and activities.

For the artistically inclined, our Art Club provides a space to unleash creativity and develop skills under the guidance of Mrs. Brick, our Art teacher. Through Choir, Drama, and Dance clubs, students can showcase their talents on stage, fostering confidence and collaboration while delighting audiences with captivating performances.

For those with a passion for sports, our Intramural program offers opportunities to engage in friendly competition and teamwork through activities like cross-country and basketball, promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship.

We also emphasize the importance of service and leadership through clubs like K-Kids, where students can make a positive impact in their community while developing essential life skills. Additionally, our Video Announcements Club allows students to hone their communication and media production skills while keeping our school community informed and connected.

At Black Mountain Elementary, we believe that participation in clubs and athletics not only enhances academic learning but also fosters personal growth, social skills, and a sense of belonging. We will communicate all opportunities throughout the year with students and parents so please be on the lookout.  We encourage parents to explore these opportunities with their children and witness the valuable experiences and friendships that await them at BMES.
